Mixing solutions for claims problems

The literature on solutions for claims problems mainly orbits three canonical rules: Proportional, the Constrained Equal Awards and Losses. Mixtures of these have been proposed to design alternative approaches solve problems. We consider piece-wise convex mixtures as two relevant tools. Piece-wise mixture guarantees that each agent obtains a minimal reimbursement, when it is available, while remaining distributed according an distribution criterion. Convex shares relevance distributive criterion exogenously given weight. In this framework we explore which properties are preserved by mixed solutions. Moreover, propose compromising degree, endogenous parameter capturing relative rationing agents share collectively. characterize Proportional solution any Losses explored from normative point view.
